I have been impressed and fascinated by Japan and Japanese culture since I first went to Japan at the age of 17 to attend Gakushuin high school in Tokyo, and I have worked in Japanese companies in and outside of Japan for a long time after I got my Master’s degree at Kansai University.
While working in Japanese companies, I have witnessed differences of culture and business practices resulting in frustrations, loss of motivation, strained relationships, decreased productivity and even departure of highly qualified employees. That is why I started Japan Consulting Office (JCO) almost 20 years ago.
JCO has grown and expanded, but our passion remains the same – helping our clients recognize, respect and reconcile different business styles.
We are looking forward to supporting your business.
At Japan Consulting Office, we help companies through practical training, concrete tools, and the 3R model — Recognize, Respect, Reconcile — to develop their own strategies for smoother collaboration, stronger communication, and better results.
JCO also strongly supports the globalization of HR practices — helping Japanese companies build more transparent and globally aligned practices, enhancing talent acquisition, retention, evaluation, and international staff mobility to remain competitive in a globalized environment.
A world where Japanese companies thrive on the global stage by fully unlocking the potential of their international teams — where cultural differences are embraced as a source of innovation, collaboration is seamless across borders, and efficiency, trust, and engagement drive sustainable global success.
